about natural remedies

The shop was founded in 2008 by Prof. Renald Blundell, a molecular and cellular biologist. Prof. Blundell’s main scientific interests are DNA, stem cells and intracellular biochemical mechanisms. With this knowledge in mind, Prof. Blundell wanted to open a health and beauty shop whereby people can experience new products in a quiet and a peaceful environment.

His philosophy, is that in order for people to heal or feel better, the underlying problems have to be identified even the one at sub cellular level. A number of diseases or illnesses develop due to our fast life, poor nutrition and stress thus leading to the lack or decrease in some of the basic biochemical components.

With this in mind, Natural Remedies caters for a couple of novel products ranging from vitamins and herbal product.

At the shop we also offer a number of specialised services including DNA paternity and forensic testing, food intolerance, drug testing and food handling courses.

dna testing

DNA testing

Paternity and legal DNA consultancy services are essential for resolving issues related to parentage and inheritance. Whether it is establishing paternity, determining genetic relationships, or resolving inheritance disputes, legal DNA consulting is critical to ensure that the rights of all parties involved are protected. Establishing paternity is the primary purpose of DNA testing. In cases where the father is unknown, a DNA test can confirm the identity of the biological father. This information can be used to establish legal rights and responsibilities, such as child support, custody, and visitation.

Legal DNA consultancy services can also be utilized for determining genetic relationships. This type of testing can confirm or deny a biological relationship between individuals, such as siblings, grandparents, or even cousins. These results can be used in court cases or to resolve inheritance disputes. In addition to paternity and genetic testing, legal DNA consultancy services can provide a range of services related to family law. This can include the interpretation of DNA test results, expert testimony in court cases, and assistance with drafting legal documents related to paternity and inheritance.

food intolerances

Food intolerances
testing

Food intolerances refer to the body's adverse reactions to certain foods or food components, such as lactose, gluten, or certain food additives. Unlike food allergies, which involve the immune system and can be life-threatening, food intolerances typically cause less severe symptoms such as bloating, nausea, diarrhea, or headaches. Some people may have a genetic predisposition to certain food intolerances, while others may develop them over time due to changes in the gut microbiome or other factors. Managing food intolerances often involves avoiding trigger foods or using digestive aids. While food intolerances can be bothersome, they are usually not life-threatening and can be effectively managed with dietary changes and other treatments.

vitamins

Vitamins and minerals are essential nutrients that our bodies require in small amounts to function properly. They play important roles in many bodily processes, including energy production, immune function, and the maintenance of healthy bones, skin, and hair.

Vitamins are organic compounds that are typically obtained through our diet or supplements. There are 13 essential vitamins, including vitamins A, C, D, E, and K. Each vitamin plays a unique role in maintaining good health. For example, vitamin D helps our bodies absorb calcium, which is essential for building and maintaining strong bones.

Minerals, on the other hand, are inorganic substances that are also essential for good health. They are required for a variety of bodily processes, such as building strong bones and teeth, regulating blood pressure, and maintaining proper nerve function. Some of the most important minerals include calcium, iron, magnesium, and potassium.

Vitamins are often used as supplements to help prevent or treat a range of health problems. The importance of vitamins for human health cannot be overstated. They can help support overall health and well-being, reduce the risk of chronic diseases, and improve mental health.
